Idiot in Phillips

On May 18,2019 I was out filming a empty coal train headed west through Phillips. The horn honked at the crossing and he was in violation of the crossing. The law says that "When you come to any railroad crossing and the train sounding his horn within a quarter of a mile or less. You must come to a complete stop." The crossing has a yield sign with a crossbuck. For me it's a tough call whether to report it law enforcement or not. I looked through the video and see if there is any violation. I did report it thru the county sheriff's messenger in which it includes the license plate of the vehicle. Whether they got a ticket or not, when you approach the crossing with gates or not and the horn sounds,  You must come to a complete stop.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Memory card issues

On May 12,2019, I went to Gibbon Junction and a few crossings to sodtown road along Union Pacific's Kearney Sub. I took 225 pictures of trains, 31 clips for my vlog, and 168 clips of trains. It was a very busy day. I did a food review from Subway called "American club". The trains was non stop in the afternoon along the Marysville Sub and Kearney Sub. When I tried to get the pictures and put it on my hard drive so I can put it on Facebook. Here is the problems I had. I lost 187 photos, and 20 videos due to the bad memory card. I checked the camera works fine for me.

UP 1943 the Nemesis

Before I got UP 1943 on April 30,2019 at Gibbon Junction. I hadn't had the luck to catch that locomotive called "The Spirit of Union Pacific". I was working at the time, went overnight, or simply forgot about it.

My first NS heritage unit ever on 2-14-2019

I did some railfanning in Grand Island along BNSF's Ravenna Subdivision. The weather was windy & cold. Despite the wind and the cold, I filmed NS 8105 the interstate unit and BNSF trains, too. The temps during the filming were in the 20s. Before NS 8105, I've never seen an NS heritage units ever. I've got UP heritage units except 1943, & 4141. One from CSX, The spirit of Grafton. And a few BNSF hoppers.

Insane Saturday afternoon in Grand Island,NE on January 26,2019

I arrived going railfanning around 11 in the morning. At around noon, went to firehouse subs and got me a cajun spicy chicken sub and ate at Ashley Park and doing my food review there. Around 12:15 in the afternoon, BNSF eastbounds were side-by-side until 1p.m.. The loaded coal train was sitting until around 2:30 after 6 westbound empty hopper trains headed west. Finally, that coal train and other coal trains behind him leaving for a while.

It got worse, eastbound trains were side-by-side. There was train after train after train from 4:15p.m. until dark. It was very busy along the Ravenna Sub for all of the eastbound traffic. I talked to a county board member and they will talk about that at a city/county meeting.
